2016-08-12 | Keola Beamer I wrote this song to after the passing of my mother, Nona Beamer. It was a difficult time for myself and my family. Somehow after writing the piece, I was better able to cope with my grief. My song is presented here by PBS Hawaii from the Special – “Keola Beamer – Malama Ko Aloha”. In this performance, I am joined by John Kolivas (Bass), Dan Del Negro (Piano) and Adriano Lariosa (Drums). The backdrop is Hawaii’s beautiful Lantern Floating Ceremony at Ala Moana Beach presented by the Na Lei Aloha Foundation.
