The “Shaka” is a hand sign that Hawaii’s people have universally adopted. It generally means, “All Good!” or “Right On!”

This original composition first appeared, with bass and drums, on my 1986 album, “Sweet Maui Moon” (Paradise Productions 980). It’s a great piece to play. On the attached recording, I overdubbed a second guitar part and added drums and bass.

In 2014, I taught this piece at our Aloha Music Camp on the Island of Kauaʻi. Now that was a fun class!

After you have finished this piece, go on to Hula Nā Lāʻau.
